The Moro agricultural company was founded at the end of the 1970s, and is located Via Andrea Rivasi, halfway between Reggio Emilia and Parma, at the base of the Matildic hills, by the Rinaldini family. Inspired by a love for their area, and admiration and knowledge of the “champenois” methods, they devote ther activity to grape and wine production. They decided to bring back into use old strains of grape which would otherwise have disappeared. In just a few years, they have been able to create genuine masterpieces out of lands that had previously been badly treated.
The company still retains its family character, and in fact the entire production process – from the grape to the bottle – is in the hands of Paola Rinaldini together with her husband and son, who also specialise in the maintenance of the vines. The cellar is an old cascina dating back to 1884 at the centre of the vineyard.
Camper services
Campers can park inside the grounds, as long as you book via Paola Rinaldini (339/1514887) in advance. The site does not offer electricity supply points, or weter discharge facilities, but you can request water refills.
What you can do
The company offers guided tours for 1-100 people, via booking. The costs are as follows:
group of 1: 50 €
groups of 2 to 6: 20 € per head
groups of 7 of 9: 15 € per head
groups of 10 or more: 10 € per head
The prices includes the tasting session. For groups of less than 10 people, the cost of the tour will be discounted against purchases of wine over 100 €. The tours are also available in English. For more information or bookings, please visit the company website.
