The Gianferrari piggery, in via Val d’Enza Nord 145 at Ciano d’Enza, is a family-run business, started in 1951 at nearby Canossa by Fernando Gianferrari, and his wife Maria. Since then, the art of producing high quality pig meat has been passed from one generation to another. The meat is worked by hand, and without preservatives. This, the long maturing period and the Enza Valley climate, make each Gianferrari meat unique for taste and quality. The piggery has a shop that sells its products.
