The Febbio camper route offered here allows you to sample the beauty of the Reggiana Appennines, a world of nature and traditions. Parma to Febbio is 85 km, so leave about 2 hours for the trip. After passing through many pleasant towns on the way, such Montecchio Emilia and Quattro Castella, head to Vezzano sul Crostolo, home to both a splendid natural park and a rest-area, ideal for a brief rest in the middle of the local flora e fauna.
Fonti di Poiano Park: relax!
During your camper trip from Parma to Febbio, we suggest the Fonti di Poiano Park, for a brief moment of relaxataion. The “fonti” (water sources) are mysterious underground water percourses that come together at the surface with a force of 700 litres per second. Continuing towards Villa Minozzo, our itinerary ends at Febbio. Park in the large car-park, because now it is time to start exploring this beautiful town buried in the heart of the Nazionale Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Appennines. Febbio offers both environmental and sporting activities: you can enjoy winter sports and in summer, there are opportunities for trekking and nordic walking, bike excursions, downhill, and horseback riding. Two lifts take you the 2000m up to the top, where you can enjoy food typical of our region at the many facilities near to the lift stations, such as “La Contessa”. Once we have finished our stay at Febbio, follow a different route to go back to Parma, passing from Toano and going down to Ponte Secchia, towards Casalgrande/Sassuolo. Continue to Regnano on SP7, towards Scandiano, and you can stop at Tenuta di Aljano, a superb medieval town. We end our tour with the excellence of the food of our region, the best to return home happy and full!
