The Bassa Parmense Dairy was founded by 15 partners on 9 March 1972, in the countryside between Parma and Sorbolo. It has two seasoning warehouses, a shop and stables for cows from which Parma Ham is later made.
The dairy produces 28 wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano per day, using traditional methods passed down the generations to the latest generation who run the dairy today.
Camper services
You can park and rest in the dairy, but there is no electricity point or discharge facility. Water refill is available on request, and booking is essential.
