The Oinoe Agricultural Company is in the Parma Hills, known across the world for the excellence of its food products, such as Parma Ham and Parmigiano Reggiano. The company works 16 cultivated vineyards, mainly with Guyot, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Malvasia and Merlot grapes. The name “Oinoe” was not chosen by accident, but refers to te ancient Greek capital Oinóe, known as the city of wine where the cult of Dionysis was practised. The company produced red Emilian wines like Lambrusco, Barbera, and Bonarda, plus Cabernet and Merlot, alongside white wines like Malvasia, Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Moscato. They also produce some bottles of Spumante, both traditional and rosé.
