We are in the province of Piacenza where a family has owned the Vej Cà Matta farm with 10 hectares of certified organic cultivation for four generations, which we know as Agricamping, Farm L’Urteja.
The views are those of the Piacenza plain crossed by the Trebbia River, which flows just over a kilometer away. We are in fact in the Trebbia Park, an area of particular beauty and naturalistic interest. But we are also at the foot of hills covered by the famous Gutturnio, Barbera, Bonarda and Ortrugo vineyards which alone are worth a trip.
In this very particular context, the Agriturismo Agricampeggio L’Urteja is located on a road section that takes you to Piacenza or Bobbio in 25 minutes. While 10 minutes away you can visit the imposing Rivalta Castle, or the medieval-inspired village of Grazzano Visconti.
Agricamping, Farm L’Urteja: what to do
You come to Farm L’Urteja to relax in the tranquility of the agricamping pitches or the farmhouse rooms, but not only that. In fact, sports enthusiasts can try their hand at MTB routes on the marked circuits or on bicycles and e-bikes to discover villages, castles and along nature itineraries of particular beauty.
In the company, however, you can purchase fruit and vegetables that the Maschi family has grown for years using the land rotation method and without the use of chemical fertilizers.
And what about the restaurant? Since 1998, initially with the help of mother Rita, traditional Piacenza dishes have been cooked here, handed down with passion from mother to son. Their “turtej cù la cua” they are simply sensational, as are the anolini in fourth broth and their cured meats cured in the ancient vaulted cellar.
The camper area
In this farmhouse whose name Urteja reminds us that horticulture is grown here, i.e. vegetables and more, there is an area totally dedicated to traveling tourism. There are 16 pitches of 60 m2. electrified and with draining bottom, surrounded by lawn.
A service block provides toilets, showers and sinks with hot water and hairdryers. The barbecue area and the camper service area complete the campsite.
